Thanks to extensive experience of advanced rigging back in the past, this straightforward procedure turned out pretty easy and fast. I'll soon proceed setting up the rest of the rig, IK handles, FK handles, MEL script, etc.

Started rigging character today.
Useful links for rigging: http://cgi.tutsplus.com/tutorials/building-a-complete-human-character-rig-in-maya--cg-14575 and http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/MayaLT/files/CSS-Orient-a-joints-local-axes-manually-htm.html Added a few more modeling elements. Applied simple Toon Shader because my main focus will be animation tests. (Refer to Old Projects: Project New World 2012 for more details on Shaders research.)
Further edited the low-poly geometry. Added polygonal armour and hair. This would assist my process of texturing the character.
Low-poly model of male character complete for now. May need to edit in accordance to UV texture mapping.
